No words to describe..It was the highlight of the day, maybe for the month, however not sure if it is the highlight of the year…

I was Just so excited to see one of my favorite artist perform in front of me. Now i know that anything can happen and anything is possible, as John Legend was here in Malaysia.

The best thing is it was so magical and full of surprises how I understand where I stand in this life. Everything is as clear as a river at its source in a spring, till you can see the fishes, the pebbles and how the rippled water does not bother you but eases you as you ponder to it longer. My journey this year has made me stronger in terms of making a stand of myself as well as congealed steel to my backbone so I can stand tall.

Since my last posting, there were a few trips that I make, not to forget a special event that happened (that will always put a smile to my face) and a lost that will never be forgotten.

I went to Hanoi, Vietnam in April with company trip. At first I was quiet hesitate to go as money is an issue, so after further thoughts and after influencing my financier, she was willing to tag along with me. It was a fun and eye opening experience, as Vietnam is a country that you can make it as an example of living. Every small bit of land, there are agriculture going on for the people to go by everyday living. I can see life is very hard but easy going. Money is a constraint but stress is even lesser. Probably you see the result immediate when you work all your muscle for it rather than some of us in corporate world waiting for bonus and promotions and anticipation of something that might not happen that eventually kill our self-esteem. (Phew….I let it all out) It is just lucky to be able to live a life. What more important than have a soul in your body, have love in your heart and have faith in life? All I can summarize the trip; it is different that what I usually see. I love the cultural events, happening places and just analyzing their living and take the good ones back home.

Rule of Thumb number 1 of traveling, always go to cultural events, that is where you understand and aware of the history and their way of life. Music heals our soul; period, what can I say bout that?

After 5 days and 4 nights in Hanoi, Vietnam, I can say it was one of the best vacations ever. Why? 1. What my eye sees is different from what it usually sees 2. Language is different. 3. Climate was a bit cooler 4. People look different 5. Geographically also different. 6. With all above you know you’re not in your usual habitat.

So it was very fulfilling, and you go back with a refreshing feeling. That is what vacation is all about. You go to the destination with open heart and fill it up when you go back.

The setting was right and the space was utilized. There were graffiti demo, Drum circle, human foosball, sumo wrestling in a sumo suit, bull ride and gladiator fight was also set up for all to enjoy and to buy the time when they’re not partying at the 4 stages setup there. Even though there were some glitches during setting up the equipments between performances, once the artist appears the waiting was paid off. Technical glitches happens anytime and anywhere, so we just need to practice by having more outdoor concert in KL!!! Live KL Up…. To all events organizer, please bring more concerts in KL…

The performances was awesome. From bands that have 20 years of experience to bands that use to play in small gigs, they’re all awesome and did their thing. I believe this is due to good crowd that we had that day. The crowd as far as I can see was from everywhere, Singapore, Indonesia and also expatriates or tourist that happen to be in KL. This kind of event that gives eye opener to the rest of the world that Malaysia exists. Even though, Malaysia is a tropical country ( and it rains that day), rain and shine gives the dynamic atmosphere to any concert.

There were 18 local acts, 2 from Indonesia and 7 international acts. I only managed to see those at Sun stage and Sky stage. I regret that I missed Gerhana Ska Cinta, that would’ve been a blast.. I manage to see GIGI, their music was fresh and breathtaking. Armand looks like he was meant to be on the stage, make full use of the space so that the viewers are pump up just like him. There was Pop Shuvit..the band that have it all, energy, looks, personality and flexibility. Moots was all cool stay in the rain with all the fans as some of us run for cover..( uhu uhu malu I). He sang in the rain, man!!! And telling people he will stay with the fans and sing with them as he stands by the camera booth under the rain. And he was all wet and that was hot. That’s why local artist are getting more and more committed with their fans and music. Wa caya sama lu, Beb!!! After that, we have HuJan.. and literally it was “hujan”, so ironic… when I heard of the song ” Pagi yang Gelap” i really wanted to see them. I can’t notice nothing else but Noh’s hair that almost covered his eyes. Plus, he sings almost emotionless but the projection of the voice that brings all the emotions and feelings of their songs. I love “Aku Scandal” and sang along to it and not to forget ” pagi yang gelap”. Noh’s mentioned that they saw GIGI and so excited abt it, and he looks like little kid that saw his idol, so cute…… Then we have George CLinton + P-Funk… It was clubbers songs and also very infectious until u wonder why your leg suddenly moves out of sudden…so those who were there just keep it moving, keep it shaking and keep it swaying…..* i’m pump it up right now*

After 3 hours of non-stop music, we kinda need to rest for a while….it was good as food was served at reasonable price and drinks and chairs and table was set up. so that we can relax between acts.

Then there were The Roots that keep it going.Rhytm was hot…It was fun to shake ur booty to it…THen the incognito..with their dynamic music same as their band which each band member comes from different countries..

Then here we go to the next performance..it was LEGENDARY..(not to forget some technical glitches)….but it was worth while when the LEGEND…JOHN LEGEND came out. I was like this little kid jumping up and down so excited that I’m standing in the crowd looking at the artist that i usually see in TV and now he is here in Malaysia singing for me!!! (yeah right).. Thumbs up to the coordination of music, as well as the arrangement that keeps people party all through the performance. The dialog was catchy and scream-friendly, but hey, the point and focus is to keep people excited especially the girls. Then after the Legend..comes out the next legend of its own music. INCUBUS… the astound flowing of music and the energy makes u forget that it is already 1 am in the morning. well the party is on and it is going on. just like prev performances, those who knew the songs sing along with the band. We were rocking it.

I was very glad and happy as 3 of us; My cuz who got engaged, My cuz who is older than me one year and my self, have our boyfriends and fiancé at our hometown. Hopefully, we can maintain that way when we gather together once in a while.

To my Cuz, I’m really really glad that you got engaged. Hope this is the best thing ever happen to your life. Love is the greatest thing and satisfactory guarantee.

To all, FYI, kursus kahwin akan dijlnkan selama 5 hari, berkuatkuasa 2 bulan lagi(sebulan lepas raya). Siapa yang ada bf or ada plan nak kahwin atau pun single, sila lah cepat2 amik kursus kahwin. Sijil Kahwin valid seumur hidup. Oleh itu, tak rugi korbankan satu weekend dlm masa dua bulan nie.
